Purchases and refunds

What is for sale

PaintRoom sells digital access and features inside the game. Today that means access to canvases — the free-paint surfaces in a room, as opposed to the tiled walls everyone can paint — and the right to paint your own Cubvatar instead of picking a ready-made one. A canvas may be divided into spaces, in which case each purchase is one space of that room, chosen by you at the moment you paint it and painted by nobody else for as long as the room stays open. You may buy as many spaces as remain; if every space has been taken, there is nothing left to buy in that room. A room may have one canvas or several; what you unlock is shown at checkout for that purchase. Other paid features may appear later (for example related to a signature plate); each is described and priced at the moment you buy it. Everything not marked as paid is free.

Prices

Prices are shown in US dollars, because the room is played from everywhere. The amount actually charged, including any tax owed in your country, is displayed at checkout before you confirm. Prices can change; the one that applies is the one shown when you pay.

Payment

Stripe handles payments. Your card details go to Stripe and never reach us — we receive the email address you enter, the country used to work out tax, and whether the payment went through.

Delivery

Access is granted immediately after a successful payment, to the identifier held by the browser you paid from. There is nothing to download and nothing to install.

Keep the receipt Stripe sends you. Since we hold no account for you, that receipt is the only proof of purchase there is, and the only way we can restore access if your browser loses its identifier.

Your right to change your mind

As a consumer in the European Union you normally have fourteen days to withdraw from an online purchase. Digital content delivered at once is the exception: by asking for immediate access you expressly ask us to begin performing straight away and accept that the right of withdrawal is lost once access is granted. The checkout asks you to tick a box agreeing to the Terms, which say the same, before it takes any money.

When we refund

Ask at hello@kevin-tale.com; refunds return to the card that paid. Please write to us before opening a dispute with your bank: a chargeback costs us a fee and takes longer for you.

Invoices

Ask at hello@kevin-tale.com and we will send one.
